His New Work is in pinks or bright yellow with greens or multicolours showing through a black glaze, some with a retro design. His figurative sculpture is made in both highly indivdual one off shapes and also in smaller batch produced pieces.

Rich Colours, Exciting Shapes
Ceramics by George Ormerod are rich in colour, with fluid glazes reacting in the high temperature of the kiln over the bright yellow, terracottas and the exciting aquamarines. His delicate crackle glazed porcelain is also made in exciting shapes inspired by the architecture of the Middle East and the glass of the 1920's. The vessels all have their roots in functionality but some have been modified to give more exciting and dynamic shapes.
